I remember many of my teachers....some good and some not so good.  Sr. Mary Rebecca and Miss Lawton because they were so kind and gentle.

For me, it was Phil Ribiero in Methods of Teaching Social Studies during my junior year of college. I learned a lot of great life lessons in his class. What really sticks out is that I was the only one in the class who liked Phil. I have written aboutt that in my blog My Education Experience.

I just said on Pat's comments that I cannot think of one teacher I wasn't scared of but I do remember my history teacher at boarding school who yes was a dragon but she could teach history. She would close our books and tell us the story first and how people thought and how they dressed or not and before we opened our books I was hooked.

Re: TAPS,

I remember some of my worst, too... but I like remembering the others better.

I loved all of my teachers throughout my life except for three.  They were interesting and made us think and want to learn.  The three I did not like were: a 10th grade English teacher, the American History teacher, and an 8th grade math teacher.  They had in common wasted teaching time, telling personal stories and jokes, terribly boring.  I never felt like I learned a thing from them.
