Thanks Naut (I have to say, it was a bit like a Brian Rix farce...!). Couldn't operate the door-lock when I tried to leave, one of the staff rescued me.

I'm sorry to read this. I hope it gets better for you. My brother somehow remained civil and courteous to both of his ex's. They even came to my father's funeral, along with his current wife, and the life celebration afterward. It was good for the 4 children involved to see, as the loss of their grandfather was difficult.
