Actually they didn't much care either. Because the metaphysical poets were considered highly intellectual people, so much so that it was long after their age that the poems were understood. Yes, religion, however, played a major role in the psyche of the people of the time.

Kehna hai, lekin  ab kuch nahin kehna, wah Kya khoob kaha. The line is founded on a tension between opposites, of which I am a great fan.

Aww, you are always so appreciative of my works. Thank you Presta. Science, in its infancy in the 17th century, its newer discoveries beacme a matter of riveting fancy for the poets of the time.

Very deep. Excellent work on Donne. He must have had quite a mind, especially for his time. Metaphysical thinking has some interesting points. Again, supurbly done, Aba, and complex, imo.
