Injustice indeed, RP., I have been on the reservation in North Carolina (Cherokee) quite a few times and though material poverty is obvious, there is an abundance of spirit wealth.

Forgot to mention, I think it is abominable how the Native population was treated To form this great country. A hug injustice that lives on to this day. One of the few things I can't keep quiet about. And, despite all, I am pleased, no one ever took their dignity.

It is a big problem when colonialism continues! Good question; I think in the U.S., though we have had and still have problems with how we've treated and treat our native population and we have many issues with militarism, corruption, unchecked greed, a shredded safety net, etc. we have been able to assimilate better than some countries, though it hasn't been a quick or painless process. I think removing any barriers to housing and employment could be a good start.

Colonialism is a big reason I feel we are experiencing the problems. The question in my mind is really how to rework the system to be more inclusive on the world stage.
