Re:

Of course Kabu cannot  mean Ellene but it's surprising they pronounce Ellene for Kabu. In that case Sanskrit should be easier.  It needs training to learn to read but the pronunciations in Sanskrit are deadly exact like no other, the only language that underwent centuries of research. It also, incidentally, happens to be the most computer compliant, and scientists in NASA are now undergoing classes in Sanskrit.

Re: Re: hi kabu

I would love to be able to read Sanskrit...but i cannot even read greek. Well not enough to read a newspaper. Yes I have always loved to travel to new places and becasue I never had money to go first class I have met so many wonderful people and had so many adventures and always was able to keep myself out of trouble.

Even now, living in Canada everyday is a type of adventure and wonderment.

Re: Re: Aba

Not too long at all. Quite interesting. And quite a depth of intellectual spirit you have, indeed. Wonderful.

Re: Aba

Keats was exceptionally brilliant, so was Shelley, and they both died so young. Wish they had lived longer, the world would have been the richer. I am reading Shelley's  Queen Mab, The Revolt of Islam and Prometheus Unbound. Together they make for  Shelley's concept of Utopia. I am writing a literary paper on his concept of Utopia and Gandhi's Sarvodaya, a comparison and contrast. I am surprised at the volume of thoughts he could so finely express in poetry as a teenager, at the age of eighteen. Equally great was Keats when it came to Negative Capablity, especially in The Grecian Urn. Thank you Presta xoxoxo  oh, did it become too long?

Re: hi kabu

You are well-traveled and have seen and experienced so much variety that I am yet to do. Ellene for Kabu sounds good. Religion, starting from Egypt, traveled to Greek and then to Rome, probably that is why.

Aba

I think Keats was in love with love. The story of Psyche and Cupid would appeal to him, as it did to his contemporaries, imo. I like the way you have told this story, as it is more difficult to do than most would imagine! :) One wonders what would have happened, what would have been written, had Keats lived a bit longer. Well done.

I am privileged in that I visited so many of the Greek ancient temples and sites. The museums and amphitheaters. I too am in love with the Hellenist civilization. and the Romans used all the Greek gods as their own, just changing the names.

Kabu is pronounced in Greek Ellene..
