I believe that when it comes to science and technology, yes, there's an American frontier. There is always going to be something new to discover and to innovate.
When it comes to politics, I do not feel we are on a new frontier. The Populist elements of Sanders and Trump have long been in the parties and are now bubbling up to the surface. Interesingly enough, Sanders is the Democrat stereotype (Remember the big Republican insult to Obama, that he was Socialst), and Trump is the Republican stereotype (i.e. racist).

Actually, all three must learn to co-exist in order for there to be successes in the frontiers that lie ahead, in my opinion. And yes, there is so much out there, so much within, so very much ahead to define, learn and conquer!
