Well when I was a young lad I was rather afraid of big dogs and as I had to deliver to different houses I was always wary of meeting a fierce unfriendly pet. Alsatians were the worst, the would run silently and I did not like them at all, Once I was delivering to an old farm house I had two four gallon cans of paraffin. It seemed deadly quiet as I neared the door on instinct I turned round and a Great Dane stood looking in my face.
