I am not a "city" person

The crowds are too much for me.

Poverty is ugly - anywhere, including cities. Beauty from nature; flowers, water, trees, in cities or not. Sometimes a lone flower in the shabbiest ghetto can be a beauty, as can be the ugliest tree in the forest, at least to me.

unfortunately, my view of the bigger cities

came from the elevated perch of an 18 wheeler's seat, usually so busy driving and looking for streets that I didn't have much time to enjoy the city view, and what I did get to see was mostly the industrial or seaport areas, which are all pretty much the same everywhere. I did get to go downtown New york, Times Square, one time when I laid over in Stony Point for a holiday weekend. And the Smithsonian...both were amazing.. the only problem I found ...just to many people in one spot...L.A. is just as populated, but spread out over so many more miles.Chicago is really the "second City"   much like New York, but way different also as it can keep spreading south and west. New York has no where to go but up..but they all have their charms
