Re: C_C_T

I understand what you mean. I will leave it be then. Thank you.

No please don't take it out Rpresta. We can't live in the past, sometimes we just get a little jolt and remember. Please don't feel too sensitive, we are all tougher than we appear. I say things and then I think ,I wish I had not said that, but it might not even register on the person to whom it was mean't.

Your encouragement is most kind and welcomed. Thank you very much. It means a lot and is most appreciated.

Re: Nautikos, C_C_T, and All

Naut - this man's "condition" was most excellent! LOL! I'll come clean! He was a very intelligent, handsome man, quite popular among peers, definitely not alone, and his comment to me that he felt he was an island (by choice, was my thought) was made in an almost flippant, arrogant manner. I later thought about it and the result was this piece I wrote! Lanetay hit it on the head!

I am most regretful that this was read in a mean-spirited manner, and will remove it after this explanation is up for a while.

BTW, one of my fav poets, too!

An interesting 'take-off' of one of the most famous poems by one of my favourite poets, LOL...I first read it before you posted your 'explanation', and thought your judgment of this man's condition a bit harsh - but now I understand you recognize that...

Re: Re: teddypoet52...

What I will say about finding those perhaps hidden moments of hurt within someone without ever meaning to bring about such memories, is that the words which find the sting are examples of honest and fine work...you must keep in mind that writing is an art and while at times one's work brings about the call of old wounds it is the artistry behind the call of the words which heightens how the viewer may feel just as seeing the statue of David or a work of Botticelli for the first time...you're good. Always keep this in mind, my friend.

Re: FSI

In a sense, yes, as was in the sense that I wrote this thing. However, there are those, as was so aptly brought to my attention, for whom that is not true.

Re: teddypoet52...

Thank you so much for saying that. I felt so badly that it hurt CCT that I strongly considered taking it down.

Perhaps a vintage piece but excellent nonetheless...

Oh, I am so very, very sorry, indeed. This was written in another time and place, from a different perspective. I was thinking about this post this morning for that very reason, and was going to add an addendum of sorts. I never meant it to hurt anyone, and was written with the arrogance and ignorance of youth. I can only think of the lyrics from a Bob Dylan song: "Ah, I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now." I shall probably take the thing down.

Well it is very lonely island indeed. Been there and longed for just one word as the hours and days passed. Well no one is happy all of ones life. No it was not on prison. Your poem just reminded me.

It's so true love. For every action there is a reaction.

That is right. No person is an island.
