Re: Nautikos

And, as I have said before, I agree, and for the same reason(s). LOL! But what is more interesting to me, is that one word can have such a profound effect on each individual. I am glad this promoted a bit of discussion. I think for many, Version 1 made the reader uncomfortable, and was disquieting.

Re: FSI

Yes, I agree, so very many, if we but look.

Re: Kabu

Version 2 is less disquieting for most, I find. That's interesting about you sitting looking out across the sea from Long Beach. I have often sone the same thing (not from Long Beach, LOL!), thinking about the other side of the world. Focus, yes, not always one of my strong points...

Re: C_C_T

You may have been right to avoid the apples that came from near the power stations. Just read something about what has happened to the reindeer who have been eating what grows near Chernobyl. Not good. Thank you for the good thoughts.

RP

Well, as I've said before - I like both versions, but I find the 'radioactive' one more interesting! That one word gives it a dimension the other doesn't have...

So lovely it is to be in nature. There are so many wonderous sights to see.

I do like version 2...and the sunset pictures...Many years ago I was sitting at Long Beach composing poetry in my head about the Pacific...the Ocean that I lived the other side of in the Southern Hemisphere. After the sun set here eventually it rose on my beaches there. Didn't know then that one day I would become a Canadian. Life is full of adventures if we stay focused enough to see them.

Well of course RP if only I had known the significance of your poem.

Years ago I used to buy boxes of apples, but I always avoided the ones that came from

the place that had power stations. I know it was just a phobia because I didn't even have to eat them. Looking at your picture what else could it signify. Not my little hopeful comment. Hope you are feeling better.

Re: Lanetay

yes, there are getting to be many more ex-Californians. Not like it was, or rather, not like the dream of what it was...
