My father, when he did drink wine - not often, preferred wine made from German grapes!

I knew many italian and greek families who made beautiful wines though the big Wineries in Australia were traditionally of German origins.

Very nice poem, A wine taster once said he recognized a wine after 40 years so I guess your Grandfather was nostalgically blessed.

This brings me memories of my Grandfather from Bohemia.  After he came to America he had a wonderful grape harbor and made his own wine.  I loved tasting the grapes as they ripened.
