LadyK, her rack will fill the room as does her attitude and confidence. AND
She'll have excellent Health Coverage and a wonderful rich jockey husband who adores her. Okay?

are you kidding me?!
I would be honored.  Only, make sure her rack is, like mine, truly excellent.

LadyKenobi, thanks for reading my work. I will try to use more of your
acidity in the story, in fact I would like a sister of mine to speak like you do within the story. I love your voice. May I?

dear beachbelle, it felt wrong to post this part of my writing, BUT

I say that because I know my words here are the thinnest bones upon which I will build the book. I hope to write a book for gringos, but written by someone who only half understands them, us.....I will name the  saints to pray to for everything, naming them superstitiously and torturing them and bribing them, negociating with God as we do out west. I will lie throughout the book and be disappointed with myself. Dogs and family will prevail, but I will include real "Santeros" stories and profiles from the southwest, real stores will be mentioned and their lovely owners. I will describe pueblo ceremonies from the inside, knowing some of the dancers.

I will speak of some of the real and the publically unstudied history of this area. George Washington Gomez and other authors will be mentioned.

Smoking will plague me and quitting will be my eternal goal. I will tell the southwestern legends of La Llorona and Skin Walkers and others and bring them into the stories, real or unreal, they will talk to and move Abuelita around as she travels. She will consult the spirits of all religious beliefs and bring in all the folklore that she knows of. The book will be full of funny old Mexican sayings and some newly generated ones. I'll speak of the rituals in depth, like Day of the Dead from a real family's point of view and take the reader on a wild ride around the southwestern USA and maybe into Nogales, Mexico.....and will even help the President of a certain Central American nation solve a bit of a mystery.

Gringos and Chicanos and Indians will all mix and have their opinions about each other and mostly get along.
