Yes, sopranos, regarding them, as a small child I would run up and down the hallway "singing" arias! This while my younger brother and sister were probably duking it out; the news was droning on in the living room; the back bedroom was levitating with the nightly operatic blast; all while my poor mother was cooking dinner in the kitchen. Oh, I could have an entire blog on this. I think Steven Tyler would probably understand...

A great poem - you really do come close to expressing the near-inexpressible! Bocelli does have a beautiful voice, and I have several of his discs...Yet what grips me more than Bocelli or even Pavarotti are many of the great sopranos - they sometimes literally send a shiver down my spine...

Well, to clarify, I intend to carry on - just hadn't thought to carry on about my emotions after the song was over! However, it was such a pretty song, and powerful, that I thought it was strong enough rip soul...etc.! I have another story, a poem, though perhaps better as a narrative, about the first time I ever heard Bocelli sing. I will post it later.
