This is so true. I put my financial situation in God's hands in 1985. I was so broke and alone at that time but with two sons who always knew that I would provide for them.
Well to this day, God has never given me my wants but he has covered my needs in every possible way. Not always finacial, more often with love, but I never went hungry.
