I'm nearly an old lady, Taps, and I like rugby (which is a tiny bit like NFL).  My son played rugby when he was small, and for one season I managed his team... enormous fun.  Nowadays  I especially like my partner's enthusiastic enjoyment of the game, even if I don't fully understand the rules.

Congratulations on your Chiefs winning. With baseball, and now football, the city is rocking, I am sure.

Yay, Team. We're having different 'games' around football

in St. Louis, since the Rams haven't had a winning season in 10 years, and the team's owner wants to move the franchise to Los Angeles. The game right now is hostile letters exchanged between the NFL management, the Rams' owner and St. Louis City officials. All the energy that had gone into convincing fans, taxpayers and the governor to support building a ga-zillion dollar stadium on the riverfront has been redirected as fluster and bombast.

Ditto to Nautikos, but - my sis would be a great football-watching pal for you! She loves the game and her son played all through school.

Well, even though I wouldn't know the Chiefs from the Indians, I've decided to root for them just for you! Mind you, I can't promise I'll watch them play! Unless they get to the Super Bowl - that's the only football game I watch each year...
