Weathered-- sounds like you were a Danny Mac at heart. Seeking excellence in a hobby or sport, revelling in the physical sensation of doing something right, while others call it "extreme" or foolish or a waste of time. I am that way too. I still ride dirt bikes at the age of 62. My non-riding friends and family think I am foolish to keep doing it.

Makes me miss being a kid, riding my bike really fast, and leaving skid marks on the sidewalk. Went through alot of rear tires and always got in trouble for it. Love this blog.
