I still do not understand why we don't go in and make it safe for them in their own countries....why should they be forced to leave their homes, go through all the hell of the fleeing and searching for a new home where they have to start from scratch.  Isn't the best long-term solution, for all concerned...for them and for the lands they are trying to relocate to....when all is considered.....to create safe zones for them as close as possible to their homes while we battle this out?  Why relocate them somewhere they aren't wanted...and they don't want to be, when we may be able to get the military's hands untied with rules of engagement that make sense when we are at war and actually start getting something accomplished toward getting their homes restored to them sooner rather than later....so that they don't need to seek refuge in foreign, and often, inhospitable surroundings. I just fail to see what doesn't make sense about that plan.  I keep waiting for someone to explain it to me.

Re: CCT,

From what I read, it seems that staggering in is the way it happens in Europe and those are the images we see everywhere, and think all they have to do is get transport to where they are trying to go, including the US. I don't know where the refugees could find refuge immediately, to be safer while they wait the months and years if all countries had as careful a process as the US.

This is a nightmare for them, and for the settled communities that are having to make room, and changes for them. It's fear and panic all around hollering the loudest, where we absolutely need reason and compassion.

Trouble is they just stagger into some countries it is not a happy life. Most must  feel that most people do not want them.
