I would not have been surprised either way. For him, it would be very tough to enter this late in the game and to make his mark.

From a Democractic Party perspective, the party is probably better off. A drawn out Clinton-Biden primary would be divisive in my opinion. I know people may bring up Sanders and Clinton, but I believe the people who support Sanders would not be going to the polls at all without his candidacy.
