Sometime back, on a whim, I picked up a book at Barns & Noble that really shocked me even though it was supposed to be a novel.  It was about the processing of pigs and chickens for meat and it was awful the way they did it.  I can't remember the book now as I gave it away when I was finished with it.

I have been listening Ciel. I seriously think we should all eat seaweed. It does not make much of a squeak when taken and reports are that it can be made into very nourishing food. I rarely eat meat, I think a lot of young folk do not, probably there is more information available. When the kids were evacuated to the country from London at the outbreak of W11 many had never seen a cow. I think quite a lot of folk look at meat as if it is some kind of edible plastic. A trip around an abattoir might enlighten them. Now we must talk about cut flowers, let me think. Yes it is like giving the plant a haircut until we know differently.
