I try to avoid my dentist whenever possible, even though I like him personally. And it becomes ever more possible - each tooth I have lost (a few) is one less cause of problems, LOL...

Re:

Annicita.. PS... there is more in my other blog if you are interested ('Go ye').  I don't think we have an immediate answer but I am constantly mulling it over to see what might be done.  It does seem to be taking over my life at the moment.

Re:

Hello FSI - good that your teeth are sound, make sure you keep them that way .. smile.  My son hasn't had even one filling (he's 29), so I did something right.  I feel for your mother having so much done ... so far I've been lucky and this should be the only one (touch wood too).

Re:

Hello CCT.  I'm afraid I haven't even looked at it, and have resisted the tendency to stick my tongue anywhere near the gap!  This is not something I have taken well to, I have to say.  My dentist is quite happy with it, and so he should be because the implant will be a couple of thousand. Ouch again.

Re:

Hi Annicita... no, he's nearly forty. He has a mental illness which is managed well, and to me he seems fine. Very unlikely that anything will change, however, so I do my best to ignore it - most of the time! smile..

I'm not sure the circumstances with his son...is he a minor or something?

Yes it is horrible when one sticks ones tongue where the tooth was. The trouble is we have had such bad experiences in the past when even the injection seemed worse than the extraction. today dentists  rarely want to extract a tooth . Once that is done it ceases to be an earner. Pray for empathy

Dental work is no fun. Knock on wood, I have not had any major dental work. It seems like my mother is always getting something done every year.

Re:

hello Taps... wow, you sound to have been extremely accommodating!  I can't hate someone who died... I just wish sometimes he would know when not to bring her up.

My ex-husband's second wife hated me because he talked about me often.  Sons used to tell me things now and then.  My DIL said she always called me "That Woman".  I couldn't help it.  I didn't even meet her until they had been married for almost ten years.   For her benefit, I would always leave town for a while when he came to visit Kansas City sons.
