Of course he could be reborn as a little prince that would be fun. It is harder to write day by day, but you are doing a good job of it really. It is easy for readers to make silly comments, sorry.

aha seems to me like he is going to recover. being very ill and then starting to recover can indeed feel like you have described here in your writing.
