I am not against eating meat, just in reducing the amount and number of times that I eat meat. I seem to get the munchies if I go too long without meat. I don't like the killing of animals. I feel that we should eat less at least.Hunters and gatherers never waste anything from the kill either.

Of course we could say don't eat fish or shellfish. We rarely eat meat, only a rasher now and then. The good news is and you may not have heard of it yet. There is a new sea weed which can be processed and made into mermaids. No that's wrong into something almost indistinguishable to bacon rashers. Now that is something we all could enjoy. I do think though the trend will be towards meatless meals or different types of protein .
I have the feeling that each generation becomes a bit more picky. Not saying what
they would eat though, if starvation became the norm.

I've been a vegetarian for over 40 years and only ate meat when I was pregant since I was so anemic and taking iron shots

Re: BC-A,
I think that most of us who have given the matter any thought at all make some compromise based on what tastes good, and doesn't offend our sensibilities and sentiment, like clearly resisting eating things like dog meat or Bambi.
I have also shied away from the vegetarian righteousness that imbues some such places. No one likes to feel judged or that they would be, if Only People Knew...!

💮I forget where the meat comes from. I don’t eat lamb. That’s my token one. Steak’s too thick for me.
What about seafood? I don’t eat most of it. I like vegetarian burgers. They’re high in fat for me but good. They’re my vegetarian choice. However, I prefer them at a regular café without the philosophy in vegetarian restaurants. No offense to them. Just comfortable atmosphere love. BC-A, Bill’s Roost
