Yes the flag definitely needs to be retired. The sad thing is people are out in droves buying up all the confederate flags they can find!
Ferguson is a totally different issue. I am from St Louis so I hear more of what really is going on. The kid wasn't an innocent just walking in the street. He had burglarized a store for cigars which at the time he was stopped was smoking. He was rude and refused to comply with the officer's request. He also attacked the officer and tried to grab his weapon which is how the weapon was discharged in the vehicle. And so on....
I don't think I have read any of your before...welcome and nice to read your entries.

Yeah, I agree with you, the confederate flag is long over due to be retired, seriously man, it's just time. Also, the great white north and Down Under are awesome places to visit!

hi I don't know if we have met here before. I am a Canadian and an Australian and things ain't perfect in my countries either but i do agree with you, that flag is a symbol of repression torture hate and inequality. It for me belongs only in a museum to reming folks how not to behave.
