Its been a long time since the Tigers picked up a really good player who wasn't either a problem child or seriously into decline. Pudge is only 32 and should have several productive seasons in his future. I probably get a goofy grin on my face every time I think about him in a Tiger uniform. I'll have to resist the temptation to write a book as I evaluate Detroit's prospects for the coming season.

I can't believe it......
...but it's true. The Tigers found their wallet. Pudge is great but c'mon...better than Varitek? Congrats on what looks like an offseason 100 times better than last year. Maybe Alan Trammell won't have that "I can't believe I agreed to take this job" face this year.
