Hi Elyse,

So happy to see you after a very very long time. Indeed, the sound of silence drowns all the noises of the world.

I find that, as I get older, my brain will turn itself off and slip into neutral when being subjected to hurry and stress for too long at one time. A blessing, it is! Lovely poem.

Re: CC

It's good you note that I am the observer here.  I've been that for quite all my life.  I find it's a gift.  If I don't take time to observe and be still for a few minutes a day then my days get hairy scary busy and I lose those seconds that were most meaninful.  Thank you for your thoughts.

Re:

Dear H/Kabu, yes it's so essential for me to try and snatch, lest my thoughts turn to blather.  I find the calm most in my gardens lately but this summer heat is beginning to blaze with the dawn.  I'm glad you find calm in my little note here.

I suppose we fill our minds with so much clutter these days. It is really true we need the silence and calm that is bestowed by simple pleasures. Memories of grannies mending socks and quietly humming or poking rag rugs, how nice that you can lose yourself and become the observer.

Silence and beauty equals serenity and time more important than all the busy rushing around.

I remember when I used to snatch those moments to my heart for sanity and spiritual time.Your words calm me.
