Somewhere there it says Whitby Abbey, I believe. Where Dracula went to bat... though, if he tried batting around there when we were there, with a wind you could lean on, he'd have been blown right back to the Carpathians!

What a wealth of beautiful pictures of wonderful sights! I adore old churches, by the way, they simply exude history to me...What is the name of the Abbey whose ruins still look so magnificent against the morning sky?

I am positively aching with homesickness for Yorkshire. I loved the Dales and the fact that staying there for weeks at a time, everyday thee was somewhere to go visit. Some historical site something unbelievably beautiful. You have captured some fabulous memories for me. Thank you darling. What a feast you are living.
