Kabu and I could come and help, I'm good mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry and painting.Of course I'd have to be able to get health insurance for my heart problems but that can be done. You two talk together.

It is absolutely beautiful and just needs a little TLC...a hair cut here, a touch there, a sweep and some cutting back. nothing too drastic but perhaps some new pots of summer flowers well watered and everything needing a feed of flora food ...it stinks for a bit, but sprinkle blood and bone everywhere after raking up the top mess and then just over turn some of the soil so aerate it and water a bit and it will be fabulous again.

as for beautiful things...I left fridges, tables, beds, stuff behind, but always took my special objects hand blown glassware and lovely things with me. They are part of who I am while I live.

Wonderful it is to see that spring has sprung.

Fascinating, the whole story! Your Mom had and maybe still has the kind of creative drive that will inevitably express itself anywhere in her physical environment - one can sense that even in these pictures - beautiful still, even if slightly neglected...

Re: CCT

Determination you can't believe....that woman drove to Mexico to buy the red tiles and tiled that patio herself, also the front porch....she then did get someone else to do the sidewalks....and has bitched about the job they did since!  But she was in her late 60's when she did it!

Well K it is wonderful really how some folk have dragged themselves against all odds into doing wonderful examples of work that were only possible by sheer determination. One can tell this house breathes quality. Love the photos, life is sad at times, but there isn't anything else.
