I can't believe you went through that, LOL, the guy has a real ego problem or some such. Good for you accepting that. I never put anyone through that and I have 3 daughters and 3 step-daughters.

I'm still trying to figure out if this town only had one attractive woman....I mean, she's engaged, she brought her mom, she had this weird brother....and you still went for a second date?! She must have been really sending out something because I think the signs were all there....but, I'm talking as a mom who never had a son and I guess I've just kind of adopted you- call me the smart ass mom you never wish you had

Well, things worked out reasonably well - and you discovered that you really weren't made for one another, always a good thing to find out earlier rather than later, and over a pleasant dinner...

Meeting a date's father can be so nerve wracking, especially with rules being laid out...The behavior of the restaurant made for an interesting evening.

doesn't seem as if you and Jill were a perfect match. I think it is amazing that you sat through that great long hours of how to treat my daughter...Any boy that I went out with had to come inside and chat with the family...and curfews were my concern to be sure to keep...along with a moral code. But that was 50 yrs and more ago as well.
