Justi

A chill broke out all over my body when I reached the final line...I'll be sharing it with my girls when they come up this weekend.  That's another thing we can all do, talk, talk, talk to our young girls for they are bombarded by the media that they live with.... music, movies, tv, magazines, and all the celebrities associated with images telling them to be as enticing as they can...it is a vicious cycle, a mixed message, an unfair expectation in a crazy and often mean world. Bless you.

It really strikes hard Justi, one can feel the misery and in such a rich country, something  must be done. So well written.

Excellent and telling poem, Justi. Too true. Too sad.

There is lots of hope if they can get into a program that is geared to really work, holds great back up and has family support. Many of these are the former 'good girls' who had one too many hits of ice in social settings. They are not classical hookers with the hellish pimps they are on their own looking for more and winding up time after time in jail. This could be anybody's daughter.

TAPS

I am too old to work actively in it now but there are lots of women still in the groups I work and worked with who do. They do wonderful work and our church has a homeless ministry that brings them inside and there is much help through that. They are a fountain of information on who is where and why. Those in jail are so sad because it is a trap! I still pray daily and work at a distance as often as possible.

There are definitely too many of those around.
I'm glad that you know how to get in there and help them.

BCA

I agree. I would like to get a large number of people praying at least 1 night a week at the same time to help in this horror. God bless you BCA.

Thank you dear. I do very little at my age now but there are so many out there now on the streets talking to the women and praying with them offering shelter and hope for them. Then there are so many who are breaking up as many as possible trafficking groups. People are stealing our girls even very young ones right from home, school or wherever they can grab them and selling them. ISIS is taking them by the hundreds and selling them as sex slaves. Pray for them. There are lots of women working in the groups I am in only rarely now as a worker. I am too old to do much physical work.

One of the best poems of its type that I have ever read. No it is the best poem I have ever read. Tragic...One can only pray for her and for all our sisters lost. Some come home, some do, thanks to someone like you.
