It is all about procreation probably Justi as you suggest, only young folk may have different explanations and call it fashion. Even a chicken looks saucy as it comes into lay.

Maybe we, like the animals, live by instinct and things have evolved every generation.  A bit of a streach, but maybe.  I was quite a tom boy, but my sisters would wear itsy bitsy bikini's.  I was very modest and perfered my colored tee's with rainbow suspenders with a matching comb sticking out of my Levi's.  A bit of a Mork I was.  But there were plenty of boys who loved it.  Either there was someone for everyone, or I was cuter than I thought.

Very interesting.  Made me think a lot about my life and people in my life through the changing decades.

good thinking too dear Lady. I wore the mini skirts  in the 60's and early 70's and an itsy bitsy bikini on the beach. One's values do change and one does get more pleasure in being comfortable and /or elegant. Besides I have a horror of what I would look like in a mini now with my short wide legs waddling down the street...LOL

Reading your entry reminds me that there are thems that continue throughout human history that repeat themselves.
