Checks seem to be a thing of the past. Although, I still use them for some utility
bills.

I don't think people use a check book in Australia these days...maybe some do but it is all plastic.

"In God we trust, everyone else pays cash" is a great way to do business, in my opinion checks are bad for business except for larger purchases where there is security with goods seizure.

There is a form of accepting check with no risk. It pays you and collects if the check is bad. You never know. Next time they write a check it just will not accept.

Well I usually pay by cash FS. It is annoying when a queue of folk keep divering around to pay a couple of quid instead of just handing over the cash. Perhaps you guys have more patience. You are a good business man if the woman's card would not pay out, I would have told her to forget it.

So true. We seem to live in a plastic world - debit and credit cards or cheques. Ha! Even our Canadian cash is plastic now!!

That's the way the world is going - I'm virtually cash-less! I only have a few quarters in the car for parking meters...
