The women

is what she said--and that MEANS women, not "some" women, or "certain" women-- it means ALL women.  sorry you think it is out of context, it isn't.

What wisdom coming from the murder Paul, who killed  and imprisoned those who were going against his Jewish faith--

FREERAIN
I read the comment to which you are referring... though I was not previously aware of the statement she made.... she never said ALL WOMEN..... you are taking her comment out of context.

DUH?

Apparently Unicorn believes that ALL the women in Judaism were "whores" "fortune tellers" "and the like" since Paul didn't express only SOME women--He goes further, get your bible out Unicorn, to explain that if a woman wants to know about God, she must seek counsel from her HUSBAND--and not directly to the elders or even to God.  As for scripture "out of context," well, reading the scriptures without prejudice to a certain translation and without exceptional language that says it's ok to call women "whores" and that the greatest imbodyment of EVIL is a female--well, things take on a different meaning.  Perhaps, though I doubt it, Unicorn can show where our scriptures are "out of context."  But since she is a "hit and run" christian, I guess she doesn't have enough faith to defend her faith.

you would think
that someone, like you, who claims to be an intellect, would know better than to take scripture out of context. Clearly, doing so shows your ignorance. Why did Paul tell the women to keep quiet in church? Because they were harlots, fortune tellers and the like and he said that they should not be allowed to speak in the temple or concerning temple matters. Dah. If you plan on leaving me a comment here, don't bother, I won't waste the click.
