I don't know why I missed this, but I read it now! I admire you for your restraint at the 'accident scene' (and not just because I admire you anyway, LOL)!
But your friend BT is another accident waiting to happen! I'm a bit of a leadfoot when driving (I've promised myself not to get a speeding ticket this year, LOL) but driving with documents on your steering wheel and talking about them on the phone borders on criminal negligence! (If caught, here in Ontario you'd get fined heavily and, I think, lose your license for a month! And if you did have an accident...)
I would have asked her to stop the car and let me out. I don't know how she can do this, escpecially in view of what happened to her son...

Blogit is such a great place to vent...i do admire your calm and am happy that you wrote all of this here. i do hope that it is a help. It was not a nice experience that is for sure.
