I would say, be direct. When I was 'courting' my wife, I was able to discover one of her favorite candies, and would leave one on her desk before she came in ( we worked together for the same company but in different departments ). When the time came, I just asked her. The rest, as they say, is history . . .

If I'm not making eye contact, not engaging in conversation, if my body isn't facing you, I'm not interested, no matter what your line is. It's all about timing. When she's facing you, arms back, chest open and making eye contact, you could say "let's eat dog food and roll in some mud" and she'll say yes.
