Well, I guess it wasn't so much you being a good 'friend' as much as it might have been you just being a good person. "Do unto others . . . " and you did. Nothing wrong with that . . .

Interesting, Jack should have given you a few dollars just as a token. No one likes being taken for a ride in that sense.
