Re: Corbin

Thank you for your wonderful words......Joe and I shared 28 years together.  He was a very special person......and always dreamed of writing a book.    He collected stories that were part of our business history......virtual milemarkers of funny funny happenings that took place while taking people all across America and Canada.   I have been gathering them together from several computers where he had files stored.....I hope to possible bring it all together to form a collection of "milemarkers".  We'll see......

By the way I bought the house that 90 year old "Georgia" lived in, she died 2 monthes after Joe, her last words to me was about her being ready,  and looking forward to being with Joe and the two of them watching over me......I couldn't bring mysely to live in the house where Joe died that Sunday afternoon.....

I gutted the inside of her place and redesigned the interior, added a couple of porches, and a patio room.  And I still have our brood of dogs....I coulnd't have made it without them.......I can see the house that so resembled the TV series local for "Green Acres" out the window of my bedroom,  I try to get up the nerve to clean it out....get rid of everything....but  I still can't do it....

Actually, basketball is one of the few sports I really, really like.....I understand it and I always know where the ball is and what they're trying to do with it!  And it gets soooo excitingly!!!

I almost forgot to tell you....it was not long before Christmas that I learned (because I had been gone) that you were Joe's beloved Monster; and it wasn't long after that you posted the two recipe.  So, I decided to take them with me, along with the ingredients and do the Nana thing with my two youngest grandcandies.....I wanted to create a Christmas memory with them that was just our own, that didn't come from either side of the family but started afresh with our first cooking adventure together.

I told them about our group here on Blogit and about the surprise of learning about you and Joe....about my sadness at Joe's passing, the funny stories he used to tell us about moving to the wilds.  Anyway, it was a wonderful time, great bonding....the 9 yr old and I turned out a fantastic version of the peanut pie and she has declared it her specialty that we will now make every single year as long as she lives!  The 13 yo and I did the banana pudding and I had to hit the road before it was finished but I hear it is, likewise, now her signature dish.  However, due to Nana not knowing instant pudding evidently comes in versions requiring cooking or not, this pudding had to be frozen to set.....and so a new "slush" version was born.

didn't mean to write a book but just wanted you to know what happens when you share....it lives on!

Absolutely.....I was born BLUE!

There is a minor school in the state that is a Red school known to most Kentuckians as "Loserville"......they have our hand-me-down former UK coach that like to have sex in Italian restaurant booths.........

Great vocation! Are you as interested in the sport as the fans you are transporting?

Sports. Especially basketball.

Not sure why it's so enthralling to folks, but then they don't get my "Days of Our Lives" addiction either.  (and sometimes I wonder why I bother with it) I generally get very tired of soapy drama - long-running situationals where nobody ever gets smarter and they all eavesdrop, lie, and nobody has a job or purpose.
