I did point out to one of mine that he was letting his dream slip away with his party ways...he decided his dream was more important and pulled himself together for a long time.

I'm afraid, as a 'non-parent,' I wouldn't really have anything to offer. I honestly don't know what I would do if it were my child . . .

Point them in a new direction to run to rather than what may be on their mind.I got one of mine to join the army, it worked out well.

They can say lots of things, among them, "If you keep this up, you'll end up in jail or dead..."

"I am here for you," can go a long way...I am not sure why some teenagers end up committing crimes.

A teenager is a teenager and none are alike. It is the worst of a feeling when you don't know how to deal with them. They make no sense at all and they are not willing to have one.
