Having something like that on your mind, and having it somewhat disrupt your thought process, is completely understandable. And oddly enough, there are people who begrudge things being high up on shelves because they then have to reach. There's got to be middle ground somewhere . . .

I would like some of FSI's hight because i am finding it more difficult to stand on a chair or kitchen steps to reach high cupboards. And if I spend too much time in low cupboards I fall side ways on the floor and cannot then get up.
Of course none of this matters today, My heart and prayers go out to your family ...today is just plain horrible. Hugs love.

I would like to add that those who are tall, like me at 6'6" should not have to deal with low kitchen cabinets either.

It's good you're there for your niece & nephew, and they for you...
I agree with the pre-plan idea, takes pressure & stress off an already upsetting event, and it's not like we (at the green edge of the 80s) can't see it coming eventually. Also agree that bottom shelves, like Twix, are for kids.

Do look after yourself and spend time with your loved ones! Re-organizing and getting rid of unwanted stuff can wait, and I'm sure Son#1 can still get down into the cabinets' lower regions and help you with all that! I mean, what are Sons for?
