You stole my thunder there JimmyA! In my final version of this particular series, I will recommend what I think is the best value... and you have already guessed it! Depending on where you get your silver coins, you can find some really neat coins. In a day or so, I'll have the end of this series and I'll detail some of the finds I have made buying 'scrap silver coins.'

I understand how the market fluctuates when it comes to both silver and gold, but I think, if I were to 'invest' in either, I would probably prefer to do it in coinage, and not bars. Sometimes the rarity of the coin itself may exceed the overall value of the metal. At least I think it does! Besides, the coin would be much more interesting to view than a bar . . .
