Re:

Perhaps, TAPS, those types of horses are referred to as something else today. But as we all know, a horse is a horse, of course, of course . . .

Re:

You may be right, TAPS. I hadn't really heard of that term before either . . .

Well, Kabu, I must admit that sometimes . . . sometimes . . . I throw something in that might be considered a little off-color. But I do my best to make it as tasteful as possible and, at the very least, extremely funny . . .

Re: JimmyA

They probably have, Bill, although, at this point in time, we should probably be serving them . . .

Well, I did.  I looked it up and now I'm trying to remember where might be that picture of me riding that big cockhorse about 30 years ago.  I just never heard it called that.  LOL

I'm not even sure what a cock horse is.  I guess I could have ridden one without knowing it.  It sounds like something for a rooster to ride on.

Re: Re:

and for me it is wonderful to have a good clean giggle that doesn't involve filthy language being hurled at the audience. Also I know a comic has to milk a laugh ...work the audience but they take it so far it stops amusing a person.

Re: JimmyA

I know, Sir Wiley, I know! Each week, there's that one that always gets to you. And the fun part for me is trying to guess which one it may be! And, I'm happy to say, I had a feeling it would be this one . . .

Re:

Good to know, calia. I hope, if there's anyone else around, that they at least know what you're giggling about! Otherwise, you may start to get suspicious looks . . .

Re:

Thanks, Kabu. And not to blow my own horn or anything, but I too have a feeling that my writings are much funnier than any of the comedy shows on TV today! My friend and I have a running standard whenever we give one of these shows a try . . . you get three jokes! If I don't laugh, or at least crack a smile within the first three jokes, off you go! So far, nothing has 'stuck' yet . . .

Re:

And I'll bet, FSI, you never thought of it that way before, huh? I guess that 'title' had to come from somewhere . . .

Re:

Sure, Bill. That's part of the fun! And if you find one, let me know . . .

Re:

Well, C C T, I do love a good salad, regardless of what day of the week it is! And I guess I would be proud to ride that stallion, but not behind someone on a white horse! Hey, perhaps Moby did have a mate, but I have a feeling she may have had an unpronounceable name . . .

Re: Jimmy

Don't waste the energy, Naut, or the brain cells. In fact, if you do come up with something, you might be better off keeping it to yourself, especially in mixed company . . .

There is always one that catches my eye more than another:

  • "I suppose we should all be somewhat grateful that Moby Dick was a male whale. I can’t even imagine what its name might have been had it been a female ( and no, I won’t even speculate ).

These final run ons  that you are wiritng are great gags ...I prefer your Monday Moments to a lot of tv comedy....I think that comedy is the toughest writing there is. You Rock our James.

That is a great point about the priest there.

Well just a few Jimmy I think I could have worked the horse out for you She sat on her horse and her white belly shone , You see then you could ride on a proud stallion/

Of course Moby would have been be called Ms Maybe Moby.

And I am glad that your salad days are here, as nutty as that seems.
