Re: Re: Re: Kabu,

They eat tiny pellets and flakes, much nicer than worms.

Re: Re: Kabu,

i think I might try one some time. What do you feed them? My sis had one and she kept little worms in her fridge....I am not sure that Wiley would cope with that.

Re: Kabu,

Siamese Fighting Fish, aka bettas, are inexpensive and really easy to keep, as long as you give them a bit of heat in their tank, and I like to give them at least a half-gallon to swim around in.  There are a lot of varieties, beautiful colors, too. My favorites are the veil tails, and they are the least expensive ones, too.  Around here they are usually around $5 or $6.

Mr Graysome might want to make special friends with a betta, but there are little tanks with roofs on to discourage play.

For heat, I use a little plug-in rubber pad that warms up, interacting with the ambient room temperature.

Re: TAPS,

One of the interesting things you can spot in old cemeteries are times of epidemic or other catastrophe, when a number of people died at about the same time.

You're right, there isn't the time or care put into saying goodbye as there once was.

I love the cemetery.  I've been reading the epitaphs.  They don't do that so much anymore.  Lots of cemeteries here just have little flat metal plates that can be mowed over.
