Re:

It's the two-dimensional, Bill, versus the three-dimensional! Those two-dimensional animals look silly and accept their fates for the sake of their fans! But the three-dimensional ones would protest vehemently if they could, no?

Re:

Thanks so much, adnohr. We did have a nice Christmas, as I hope you did too. And yes, if there are any petitions to sign or bills to support for all of this, my wife and I will be in that line as well! Perhaps some day, a little common sense will make a comeback, at least where animals are involved . . .

Re: Jimmy

That's okay, Naut. You just keep on celebrating, and know that we all wish we could ignore and get our minds away from such horrors and stupidity! I didn't mean to dive right into such a touchy subject, but there it is . . .

Re: The food aggression test

That's true, Ciel. At least, with the piercing, there can be a reversal. Remove the earring, and the hole could eventually grow over. But tattoos? That would be the ultimate torture, and cannot be reversed. FSI is right . . . there is no longer any common sense!

Re:

A question, Kabu, that I unfortunately cannot answer. I have no doubts that Mr. Graysome is treated as kindly and lovingly as my wife and I treat our cats, and vice versa. We would never even think of doing such things, regardless of the circumstances! Yes, those punishments for children should probably be stricter, but it seems to me to be a whole other ballgame when it comes to animals! I just don't know anymore . . .

Re:

That's true enough, C C T. It is the almighty dollar ( or pound ) that usually drives people to do such things. And of course, they're obviously not taking the pet's concerns into consideration! Poor little kittens indeed . . .

Re:

Unfortunately, FSI, that is a whole other topic altogether! If common sense were still in place, the bulk of our newspapers would be blank! But it seems that, when it comes to animals and pets, there is even less common sense . . . or is it simply a lack of caring? Either way, it doesn't bode well for all those poor, abused critters out there . . .

🏮The only animals that look good pressed with anything are the animals with newspaper ink on their bodies in comic strips Jimmy. BC-A, Bill’s RTTst

FSI has said it - common sense is out of the picture where these pet-owners are concerned. I would definitely complain, and sign any bill prohibiting such outlandish and cruels actions!! Merry Christmas, Jimmy - to you, your loving lady and the kitties.

The food aggression test

is not a fair assessment of aggression in dogs but in shelter that are vastly over-crowded and have no trainers avaible to work with dogs' socialization issues, it provides a 'reason' for selecting for euthanization.

I don't find the ear piercing as appalling as subjecting an animal or child to the long, drawn-out and painful process of tattooing. But an earring of any kind in animal or human increases the risk of the ear being torn or damaged.

I am surprised that child tattooing and piercing aren't given bigger penalties. Little girls often beg to have their ears pierced so I rule that one out...as for animals...sick just sick and how can people say they love their pet if they torture them.

I expect they will be producing high heel shoes for dogs and chastity belts for pets. Nothing surprises me Jimmy. If there's a few dollars to be made someone will try to exploit the situation. Poor little kittens.

It is terrible people are doing that to their pets. It makes me wonder whatever happened to common sense.
