Dum&Evil

The facts are the vast majority of Bush's tax cuts go to the wealthiest Americans. The facts are that the economy has had the most anemic new job production in recent history. The facts are that Paul Krugman, Robert Rubin (former Treasury Sec.), Paul O'Neill (Bush's former Treasury Sec.) and many other highly respected economists and business professionals know that Bush's explosion of deficits and debt will soon have a horrendous day of reckoning.

Only the ideologues such as yourself can stick your heads in the sand and mumble, "What? Me worry?" as a tidal wave of financial chaos is about to wash you out to sea.

The only "skill" (if you can call it that) the rightwing has, is to lie frequently and flagrently without a shred of conscience or remorse.

GREAT STREAK
Krugie is full Liberal lies and the only morons who buy into his b.s. are young fools who want handouts. Tax cuts for the rich is biggest bunch of hooey ever said. The tax cuts were on a percentage basis across the board. Meaning that everyone who pays taxes got a cut. EVERYONE, not just the rich.
Krug and the liberal media love to lie about tax cuts because they're looking for a utopian state like all liberals!
Isn't it funny how dems said back before the tax cut vote, that the economy would tank and we'd be in a depression by this time? YOU LIBS HAVE A GREAT STREAK GOING..... wrong again!

As a noted economist once said about the Bush economic policy: "This isn't trickle-down economics, it's mist-down economics."  Great post.

I think the CIA has a lot better things to do than inserting worms into computer networks plus there would be hell to pay if it turned out they did and got found out. But you are right on about the media just keeping a low profile.

The Bush administration has shown that they can get awfully mean whenever someone portrays them in a bad light (no matter how truthful that light) or anyone who disagrees with their view of political reality. Paul O'Neill found that in 24 hours they were starting an indictment against him for leaking info about Bush. Ambassador Wilson found out that for disagreeing with Bush's appraisal of a Saddam/Niger connection, his CIA wife got outed and there have been other "examples" of what happens to people who "talk about Bush" in ways he doesn't like.

The media have become "profit centers" not "information centers" and so their top priority is keeping their advertisers happy, which means keeping Bush happy. Hence, there is little or no criticism of the ineptitude and corruption of Bush and Cheney.

Great post again Spy

I know you've said it befor, the definition of Facism, A government ruled and controlled by Corporations for the expansion of their political and financial power.  Why isn't this being brought up in the media?  It is on the internet and that is why THEY want to control it as well--the last bastion of free press and information.  Again this week we have a worm released on the internet and it is supposedly going to cause severe problems-- how come these are getting out? I've heard that the CIA employs hackers to disrupt and create distrust among users.  Any thoughts?

Great post and great comment!!

I haven't read Krugman much, but will check him out more now. This corporate take over is really becoming frightening and outrageous. Soon they will pay NO taxes, hire NO American's and totally dictate foreign policy - wars of enterprise and criminal manipulation. They are unleashed, almost completely unchecked (why no louder outcry about the no bid contracts in Iraq and Halliburton's continuing theft of our tax dollars??) Well, of course, I know the answer to that....corporate media - duh.

Perhap's the only way to really fight them at this point is to TOTALLY boycott all things corporate; everything from Wal-Mart to Starbuck's. A world wide boycott along with huge, in the street, in their face's protests. I think we need to seriously consider something like this, especially if Bush gets back in this year. I will do all I can! I'm already working on a web site as a way to start reaching out and garnering support. I'll post a link when it's finished. It's time to begin planning action. Any feedbacks and ideas on this welcome. E mail me. BTW, I've found a new blogger, a young man who has some very interesting information and facts about the H-1B program. I've included a link to his blog.

yet another great post
I'm curious what kind of response DEMSareEVIL could possibly conjure to refute these arguments.

How in the hell is trickle-down economics going to work? How in the hell will it bring in higher absolute tax dollar amounts with lower rates as the result of increased overall wealth or even create jobs, for that matter, if all the players are moving out of the country, permanently removing themselves from the tax rolls?

DEMSareEVIL (and all your allies), what the hell kind of response could you possibly come up with? What kind of evidence could you possibly have that shows that these kinds of slimy business practices are good for America? How in the hell could these approaches possibly keep our nation strong?
