I enjoy salt and lime with jicama slices...I was introduced to it as a teenager visiting relatives in Mexico.

I can just taste it. That is a salad not a bowl of lettuce and a bit of cheese. Oh yes Jicama would have been so good on that and it is so good for us.

I haven't had jicama for a while. I forget about them. Thanks for reminding me. I made a salad today that would have been a perfect place for chunks of jicama. It was little broccoli florettes, cubed beets, red onions, red bell pepper, and chopped nuts with my own vinegrette dressing. Diced jicama would have also been good in it.
