I agree with FSI. I think Cruz's best years are behind him. Seattle must have been desperate . . .

I am an Orioles fan, but I do not see it as a loss. Cruz will be thirty-five next year. In the post steroid era, few players thirty-five on up have great years. Something that gets lost to in the discussion about Cruz is that steroids can stay in a system for years. He could still be benefitting from them. My feeling was that the team should let Cruz go.
I feel that the Mariners made a mistake. They are going to get a player past his prime who will be playing in a ballpark that is tough to hit in.
