Re: Nautikos

You know, I looked at this picture from The Kansas City Star a whole lot closer and you are right.  It has to be a collage.  It fooled me and I've been going to the Plaza at Christmas time for all my life.  LOL

Same rule applied to Bird and me too. And cows had to be milked first too. But we did get to empty our hanging stockings before, so that helped.

We had the same Breakfast First rule,

and had to kind of pretend there was nothing going on in the room with the tree. Parents can be so cruel!

The first Christmas I remember is 1990, when I was five years old. I remember the excitement of looking at the tree before and after the presents arrived.

My favorite photographer (not counting Ciel) is Eric Bowers.  He does a wonderful job of photographing Kansas City.  http://www.ericbowersphoto.com/archive  At least the first eight galleries at this site are of Kansas City and many more through the years.  This is the 85th anniversary of the Country Club Plaza Christmas Lights so there are many galleries of that.

Re: Nautikos

It is real.  It covers a very large area of several blocks in every direction, so whatever spot one takes the photo from, the picture looks different.  I especially like the area where Brush Creek and the bridges are shown in the photos.  I'll see if I can find you an old one.

Is that display of lights real, or is it a collage?  If real, it's amazing! And, well, I'm barely into autumn, I ain't quite ready for Christmas yet - I guess I'm just slow...
