It came with my cable package, so I did not install it myself. The cable company did. I imagine, though, that the instructions would be easy for installing one if a person did it oneself.

Although I do understand all its benefits, we actually got rid of our DVR feature simply because we never use it. There really aren't a whole heck of a lot of programs on anymore that we care about watching, and when my sporting events come on, I always try to be there to watch it live. But if it works for you, then take full advantage . . .
