Tough question, since I dislike much of today's 'modern conveniences,' and don't mind a bit of hard labor anyway. Sometimes they're difficult, sometimes they're easy, but 'automation' doesn't necessarily mean an improved lifestyle . . .

The only thing that I can think for me of is automatic bill pay where one's payments on a bill are automatically taken out. But even then, I still go online and pay most of my bills, following the computer prompts.
I used to do direct deposit for myself, but I could no longer justify the fees. If it was cheaper, I would go back to it and enjoy not having to write out any more deposit slips.

I really had few to give up in the first place! I still prefer a manual gearshift, but my car is an automatic...
