A smart move by them. Maddon is one of the best in the game.
That said, I do feel that the Cubs did Rick Renteria wrong. They told him weeks ago that he would be back and went back on their word.

I think it was a good move. Tampa Bay had always been 'in the thick of it' for many seasons, and Lord knows the Cubs can use all the help they can get . . .
