It is such an emotive subject and I don't believe that there are any all wrong or all right answers. Cicumstances are different for all situations...and I really do not think that MEN in Government postions who want to be releceted should use an emotive, grey area of ethics, one that is truly Women's business...to win their seats with.
Sometimes it is a mutual choice of a man and a woman mostly it is a woman's right to decide about her own body. I do agree with you that to go back to the back yard abortionist is to go back to the 19th century, to filth and danger, all that you described.
bottom line....I refuse to judge and I am sickened when men stand up and pontificate as though women are pretty little things with empty heads.
